Service to Others
There is no greater purpose than service to others.
As a young person many years ago within the privacy of my own being I asked to work with the Creation but not as a religious person. I worked more than 20 years in government service before I realized my request had been granted. There is no greater purpose than service to others. Service to others is service to your higher power.
The perceptual shift occurs when you change from begrudgingly helping others as your job to gladly helping others as your higher purpose.
I find that I do fall back to my old begrudging ways sometimes. I find that still my dramas get triggered. Yet now I come back to perception that as I serve others I am serving the creative force. I again become the conduit of love, the servant of grace.
When you stop to think about it, in almost every working situation we are servants to one another. The banker, the baker, the mailman, the President, the doctor, the stay at home mom, we are all serving others. When we wake up and realize that our service can be the conduit of Grace flowing from our hearts then we step above the automatic dramas of our lives.
“Banish the word ‘struggle’ from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration. We are the ones we have been waiting for.” — Hopi Elders
